    TREASURES OF INDIAN WILDLIFE

    On this Trip we get a chance to visit India’s Best three wildlife reserves Pench, Kanha & Bandhavgarh National Parks situated in the state of Madhya Pradesh. By doing 15 game drives in these beautiful parks we maximize our chance to see major diversity of Indian wildlife, i.e variety of deer’s, antelopes, monkeys, wild boar, jackal, bison, wild dogs, sloth bear, leopard and the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. Besides the mammals you will also witness wide colorful profusion of birds. Pench, Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Parks are teeming with a variety of wildlife and all have something different to offer. All are ideal for viewing both predator and their prey in their natural habitat.

    ITINERARY

    Day 01: Arrive Nagpur and transfer to Hotel

    Arrive Nagpur during the day time and you will be picked from the airport and transferred to your hotel, situated just 10 minutes drive from the airport. Remaining of the day is free to recover from Jet Lag. (There are regular flights to Nagpur from Delhi & Mumbai)

     

    Day 02: Nagpur, Drive to Pench National Park & Afternoon Game Drive (115 KMS / 03 Hrs)

    After a leisurely breakfast in the morning meet & greet in the hotel Lobby with rest of the group members and your Tour Leader (Balvinder Singh). There will be a short Trip briefing after which we drive to Pench National Park. We reach Pench in the afternoon and check in to our lodge situated in a beautiful setting. After Lunch we will go for our first game drive / jeep safari in the park. The park gate is situated just 5 minutes drive from our lodge.

    Pench National Park is located in Seoni and Chhindwara districts of Madhya Pradesh. It derives its name from the Pench River that flows through the park from north to south dividing the park into almost equal western and eastern halves. It was declared a sanctuary in 1965 but raised to the status of national park in 1975. In 1992, it was established as a tiger reserve. The landscape varies between undulating terrain with small hills, open grassy meadows and dense forests. The protected area is covered with small hills and well-stocked teak mixed forest.  (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

      

    Day 03: PENCH NATIONAL PARK (MORNING & EVENING SAFARI)

    Early in the morning we leave once again for our second game drive and will have another one later in the afternoon. We usually get 3 -4 hrs free time between these two drives to recover. The major species of fauna found in the region include Cheetal, sambhar, nilgai, jackals, wild dogs, sloth bears, langoors, palm civets and Bengal Tiger. Other animals are lesser cat, jungle cat, leopard cat, wolf, pangolin, chausingha, rhesus macaque, flying squirrels and the mighty Indian gaur. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

      

    Day 04: PENCH NATIONAL PARK (MORNING & EVENING SAFARI)

    Today we will have another two safaris in the park looking for elusive Bengal Tiger and other wildlife. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

     

    Day 05: PENCH, DRIVE TO KANHA NATIONAL PARK ( 190 KMS / 04 – 05 HRS DRIVE)

    After breakfast we drive further North towards Kanha National Park. The drive itself is beautiful through the rural part of India, where you can witness the way of living & its vibrant Culture. Arrive Kanha during Lunch time. Afternoon is free to have some time off and in the evening explore the neighboring village or go for an optional Nature walk. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

     

    Day 06: KANHA NATIONAL PARK (MORNING & EVENING GAME DRIVES)

    Today we will have our first two game drives in Kanha National park. We leave early in the morning after having Tea & Coffee. We carry our packed breakfast with us from the lodge which we usually have at a designated spot in the park.

    Created in 1974 and often described as India’s greatest wildlife reserve, Kanha is vast. Covering approximately 1,945 sq. km of undulating terrain, the elevation ranges from 450m to 900m with expansive grasslands, plateaus and dramatic rocky escarpments providing a home to literally hundreds of species of wildlife. Park’s landmark achievement is the preservation of the rare hard ground Swamp dear (Barasingha), saving it from near extinction stringent conservation programs and makes Kanha one of the well maintained National Park of India.     Day 07: KANHA NATIONAL PARK (MORNING & EVENING GAME DRIVES)

    We leave once again early in the morning from our lodge taking picnic breakfast with us, Later in the afternoon we will have another safari in the park.

    Kanha is an Indian wildlife park of the imagination whose atmosphere and apparently endless landscape can rightly be described as Kipling home. Kanha Tiger Reserve abounds in meadows or medians which are basically open grasslands that have sprung up in fields of abandoned villages, evacuated to make way for the animals. Kanha meadow is one such example. (B/fast, Lunch & Dinner)

     

    Day 08: KANHA NATIONAL PARK (MORNING GAME DRIVE & EVENING FREE)

    This morning we will have our last jeep safaris in Kanha and afternoon is free as the Park remains closed for safaris on Wednesday afternoon. In the evening visit neighboring village or option to go for Nature walk in the surroundings of our lodge. (B/fast, Lunch & Dinner)

     

    Day 09: KANHA, DRIVE TO BANDHAVGARH NATIONAL PARK (240 KMS / 5 HRS DRIVE) & AFTERNOON GAME DRIVE

    After breakfast leave Kanha and drive further north towards our last Tiger reserve Bandhavgarh. Arrive Bandhavgarh during Lunch and post lunch, we will have our first jeep safari in the park. Bandhavgarh is more popularly know as the Tiger country due to highest density of Tigers available here.

    At only 437 sq. km. Bandhavgarh is one of the smaller National Parks and enjoys an impressive setting with a stunning cliff‐top fort overlooking grasslands, birch forests and bamboo that provide cover for the plentiful indigenous wildlife. In common with many other parks, Bandhavgarh is also home to a wide variety of mammals including leopard, sloth bear, gaur, sambar, chital, jungle cat, wild pig and of course Bengal Tiger.      Day 10: BANDHAVGARH NATIONAL PARK (MORNING & EVENING GAME DRIVE)

    Bandhavgarh holds healthy population of approx 70-80 Tigers. Today once again we will be doing two jeep safaris in search to elusive Bengal Tiger. Aside from the Tigers and other mammals the park also host up to 150 species of birds.  (B/fast, Lunch & Dinner)

     

    Day 11: BANDHAVGARH NATIONAL PARK (MORNING & EVENING GAME DRIVE)

    Today we will be doing the last two jeep safaris of our trip. Hopefully by the end of our last game drive this afternoon we managed to see all the major species of animals & birds. (B/fast, Lunch & Dinner)

     

    Day 12: BANDHAVGARH, DRIVE TO JABALPUR (3.30 HRS) & FLIGHT TO DELHI.

    Morning is free on leisure and in the early afternoon transfer to Jabalpur airport to catch flight to Delhi (Dep:16:30 / Arr: 18:45). On arrival at Delhi you are transferred to hotel situated very close to the airport at Aerocity. (Breakfast)

     

    Day 13: DELHI DEPARTURE

    Morning after breakfast at the hotel, departure transfer to the international airport of Delhi to board the flight back home. (Breakfast)

    Day 01: Arrive Nagpur and transfer to Hotel

    Arrive Nagpur during the day time and you will be picked from the airport and transferred to your hotel, situated just 10 minutes drive from the airport. Remaining of the day is free to recover from Jet Lag. (There are regular flights to Nagpur from Delhi & Mumbai)

    Day 12: BANDHAVGARH, DRIVE TO JABALPUR (3.30 HRS) & FLIGHT TO DELHI.

    Day 13: DELHI DEPARTURE
